2.45 million tickets sold for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

DOHA, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) — FIFA announced Thursday that 2.45 million tickets for the World Cup in Qatar have been sold.

A total of 520,532 tickets were sold during the final sales period from July 5th to August 16th, mainly for team match tickets such as Cameroon vs Brazil, Brazil vs Serbia, Portugal vs Uruguay, Costa Rica vs Germany, Australia vs Denmark. Sold.

Residents of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, England, Argentina, Brazil, Wales and Australia led the number of tickets purchased in recent periods, according to FIFA.

Another sales phase will begin at the end of September, but no date has been set, and will run until the end of the tournament, with tickets allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. After the last-minute sales phase begins, over-the-counter sales will also begin in Doha.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will run from 20th November to 18th December.
