An American teenager who suffered a serious brain injury due to complications from a failed breast implant died, her family attorney confirmed
19-year-old Emmalyn Nguyen spent more than 14 months in a coma before his death last week, news station KCNC reported.
“Emalyn’s parents and siblings are in grief,” her family attorney David Woodruff said on Sunday. “The order of this event was sadly unexpected.”
Ms. Nguyen arranged for breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Jeffrey Kim at the Colorado Cosmetic Surgery in Greenwood Village on August 1st last year.
However, after being anesthetized, the teen suffered from cardiac arrest and did not undergo surgery.

Dr. Kim later admitted that he hadn’t called the emergency service for about five hours, the outlet reported.
A medical episode caused a teenager to fall into a coma with brain injury, requiring 24-hour medical care.
According to Woodruff, teenagers seemed to be making recent progress, with occasional smiles, but when she developed severe pneumonia at a nursing home on October 2 and suffered cardiac arrest My health has deteriorated. Station KDVR reported.
She was resuscitated, but eventually died two days later, Outlet reported. A memorial service was held on Sunday for teens.

“The world has lost a wonderful, sweet and vibrant young woman,” Woodruff said. “She had a life before her, but it was unnecessarily shortened.”
Her family had previously taken legal action against Dr. Kim and nurse anesthesiologist Rex Meaker, accusing him of gross negligence.
In the wake of the defeat, Mr Woodruff said he would proceed with the proceedings as an illegal death proceeding.
“Emalyn’s parents believe that talking about Emmalyn is essential to bring her justice and prevent it from happening to other patients,” Woodruff told KCNC.
Dr. Kim had been temporarily suspended from his doctor’s license, but his doctor’s license was reinstated earlier this year, allowing him to practice during the probationary period for the next three years, media reports said.
