Actress Amber Heard was spotted vacationing in Tel Aviv just weeks after her explosive defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp ended.

She was first seen eating with her friend, journalist and pro-Israel activist Eve Barlow, in a cafe south of Tel Aviv last Monday. The actress was later photographed around Tel Aviv by paparazzi pushing her daughter into a stroller.

After the media onslaught during the highly publicized trial around the world, Heard was said to want to keep a low profile during her visit to the Jewish State.

On Saturday, Halper’s Bookstore, a second-hand bookstore in Tel Aviv, released a photo of Heard during her visit to the store last Tuesday.

“Say what you want to say about Amber Heard (and what I knew about her was also negatively affected by the media) with her toddler girl last Tuesday. A modest, courteous, friendly, inquisitive and unassuming customer with a strong literary taste,” said shopkeeper JC Halper. wrote on Facebook.

Halper added that Heard was wearing a gold Jewish star necklace, saying, “As an Israeli, I am overwhelmed by the fact that she comes here and mixes with people in the shops, in cafes, on the streets, and is generous.” I can only admire you and help small businesses like mine.”

A bookstore owner said Heard signed a guestbook with “a book of serious poetry. Philosophy too,” and wrote, “What can you find in such a beautiful place?”
