Auckland Zoo takes care of a mountain lion orphaned by a wildfire in California

Oakland Zoo said on October 10 that it had accepted two mountain lion cubs who had lost their mothers in a Zog fire in Northern California. The zoo shared footage of the female Cubs on Twitter and probably with her mother in the same fire that injured Lieutenant Cal, a male Cubs rescued by firefighters on September 30 and taken to the zoo. He said he had lost another brother. The zoo said it plans to introduce the two Cubs to the captain. By October 12, 2020, wildfires in California had burned more than 4.1 million acres, seriously affecting the state’s wildlife, officials said.Credits: Auckland Zoo via Storyful
