The connecting rod straight house has been under the same ownership for 88 years.

Habul, who oversees one of the largest utility solar project developers in the United States, confirmed in an interview with motorsport publication speedcafe.com that he was a purchaser of the 489 Conrod Straight.

“I really didn’t have to think twice,” he told the publication when he had the opportunity to buy a house at Mount Panorama. This follows rumors that began shortly after the house was sold that the mysterious US-based Australian racing driver who raced in Bathurst was the buyer.

As previously reported by The Daily Telegraph in July, the house was on the market for the first time in 88 years and was expected to sell about $ 2 million.

Grant Maskhill-Dowton, director of Raine & Horne Bathurst, said the property was built by the seller before the truck opened in 1936.
