Coast Guard rescues a boater caught off the Texas coast during the Hurricane Delta
The United States Coast Guard rescued six boats stuck in the waters near Gilchrist, Texas, on October 9 in the stormy weather brought about by the Hurricane Delta. The Coast Guard said in a statement that it had received “reports of three fishing boats stranded” and carried “4 adults, 2 infants and 3 dogs”. Without life jackets, sailors were worried that the ship would capsize. The Coast Guard used several ships and helicopters (as seen in this video) to carry out rescue operations. The Delta, which was subsequently downgraded to a tropical depression, lost more than 700,000 electricity to the area.Credit: US Coast Guard via Storyful
