Energizer Enters Home Battery Market with HOME POWER

Energizer has announced that it will enter the home battery storage market with a new scalable solution called HOME POWER.

The system starts with a main unit with an energy capacity of 6.1 kWh, but can be expanded up to 24.4 kWh by combining the main unit with three subunits.

Energizer uses LiFePO Battery Chemistry, which stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate. The prism cell is rated at 10,000 cycles.

Energy storage is a huge potential market, as one-quarter of Australian homes have rooftop solar power and are currently feeding that energy back to the grid. Using it near the place where the electricity was obtained can greatly improve efficiency, explode the number of batteries in the home at a reasonable cost, and can further reduce electricity prices.
