‘Extreme’ voices to parliamentary debate should mostly be ‘ignored’: Kenny

Sky News host Chris Kenny says the two extremes of the debate to bring Indigenous voices to Congress will be “enemy of good.”

“There will always be extremists who don’t want to do anything when it comes to reconciliation with the indigenous peoples of this country, and people like Lydia Thorpe who just want to divide the country and make very radical proposals. Kenny says Sky told News Australia.

“I think most Australians are either mainstream or middle class. They want reconciliation and they want to do it in a practical way.”

He said that extreme arguments should be largely ignored as we need to “focus on the mainstream.”
