‘Flash mob’ looters break into 7-Eleven after LA Street takeover

Los Angeles police released video footage of a mob looting a 7-Eleven convenience store in the city’s Harbor Gateway neighborhood early in the morning on Monday, Aug. 15, urging the public to help identify those involved. I asked. In a news release, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said he believed a “flash mob” of looters formed after the so-called street takeover on Figueroa Street and El Segundo on Boulevard. The footage depicts a chaotic scene as people rush into the store around 12:40 am. Looters robbed “all snacks, drinks, cigarettes, lottery tickets and other merchandise,” vandalized stores and “threw merchandise at employees,” police said. The crowd then exited the store and dispersed before police arrived, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Credit: LAPD via Storyful
