Florida high school teacher accused of student participation in Pledge of Allegiance under investigation

A Florida high school teacher was taken down after a video showed him beating a student for refusing to run for the Pledge of Allegiance.

The Pledge is a recitation poem pledging allegiance to the flag of the United States. Those taking part in the pledge usually stand out with respect and sometimes hold their right hand over their heart.

A TikTok video of the incident 1.4 million views as of saturday, new york post report.

“Would you like to sit on your butt?” asked an unnamed Bradenton High School teacher angrily. “If there’s something you want to do, do it quickly… I will protect the country to the end.”

The student replied, “I will not hurt you.”

The teacher told the student, “Go back… to where you came from.” Mexico or Guatemala? Where? “

When the student said he was born in America, the teacher reacted in disbelief.

“Were you born here? And why don’t you stand up for the flag?”

A Manatee County Schools official told Insider that the teacher was dismissed and an investigation is underway.
