Physical distancing and using hand sanitiser will be encouraged on the day. People will be voting for their local House of Representative candidates to represent their local area, as well as Senate candidates to represent your state or territory.

For the House of Representative ballot, you need to number every square on the ballot paper.

For the Senate, you vote for who will represent your state or territory. The simplest way to vote is by selecting your preferred parties or groups, who choose their own individual senators. This is calling voting below the line.

You need to pick at least your top six choices, or at least 12 individuals if you vote below the line.
