Gartner Names Lookout a Visionary in 2022 Magic Quadrant

Gartner has recognized Lookout as a Visionary in the 2022 Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge (SSE) and as one of the top three products in the 2022 Gartner Critical Capabilities for SSE report.

Gartner defines SSE as a platform that intersects cloud-centric security capabilities to create secure access to the web, cloud services (SaaS), and private applications.

Lookout’s placement in the Magic Quadrant is based on Gartner’s assessment of the company’s ability to execute and completeness of vision.

The Gartner Critical Capabilities for SSE is an addition to the Gartner Magic Quadrant, which provides a comparative analysis and scores a product or service against a set of critical differentiators required by all businesses identified by Gartner .

Among 11 vendors, the Lookout SSE solution received one of the top three scores for each of the four use cases in the Critical Capabilities report. Protection of Confidential Information.

Gartner points out that the SSE market will reach approximately $2.4 billion and $2.6 billion in revenue in 2020 and is currently growing about 19% to 21% year over year.

Additionally, the emergence of SSE services in the market reflects the need for enterprises with hybrid workforces to apply consistent security from the cloud.

The SSE platform also offers an immediate opportunity to reduce complexity, cost, and number of vendors.

“By 2025, 80% of enterprises will adopt a strategy of converging web, cloud services and private application access from a single vendor SSE platform,” says Gartner.

Lookout’s SSE offering gives enterprises the means to protect data wherever it resides, while supporting a hybrid workforce with consistent, cloud-delivered security policies.

Lookout SSE deeply integrates policy and data security enforcement across web, SaaS, and private applications, providing a single Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and Secure Web Gateway (SWG). platform.

This includes User and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Enterprise Digital Rights Management (EDRM).

This allows Lookout’s SSE solutions to provide a unified, easy-to-use user interface across SWG, CASB, and ZTNA for easier policy and reporting workflows.

Lookout SSE combines CASB, ZTNA and SWG with Endpoint Security into a unified platform that streamlines security and access management across all endpoints, cloud and on-premises infrastructure while reducing cost and complexity To do.

Lookout dynamically enforces policies at varying granularities by analyzing telemetry data from users, endpoints, and the data they’re accessing.

“Most organizations today struggle with the complexity of multiple point security products, which are no longer a viable strategy.

We believe Gartner has recognized this trend by establishing a new SSE category that requires an integrated platform approach to streamline data protection as organizations move to the cloud,” said CEO of Lookout. As one Jim Dolce said:

“We are pleased to be recognized as a Visionary in this inaugural Magic Quadrant and scored for our solution in four use cases in the Critical Capabilities Report.”
