New South Wales Prime Minister Gladys Berejikrian said he “made a mistake” on Monday, but said she would continue to play her role.
Earlier that day, the Prime Minister revealed that she had a long-standing relationship with former Parliamentarian Darryl Magwire at the heart of an investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Independent Commission.
“Undoubtedly, I was stuffed into my private life,” Premier told reporters.
“It’s very difficult for someone in my position to lead a private or personal life, and I’m very angry at what happened. But I told the people of New South Wales this I want to guarantee — I’ve always put the public first. I’ve always made sure that the public interest is of utmost importance in everything I do. “
