Climate activists pour milk at Edinburgh grocery store

On Saturday, October 15, activists poured milk into grocery stores in Edinburgh, Scotland and elsewhere across the UK, as part of a climate change protest organized by the Animal Rebellion Group. With the goal of “moving to a food-based food system,” he said, “dairy, like all forms of livestock farming, is an incredibly wasteful and destructive industry and a major contributor to the current climate crisis. It threatens all life above.” A video shot by Animal Rebellion on Saturday shows people dumping bottles of milk onto the floor of a Waitrose store in Edinburgh. While pouring and explaining their causes, one is holding a sign that reads ‘Plant-Based Future’. Many people criticized the behavior on social media.Credit: Animal Rebellion via Storyful
