Hundreds arrested after anti-mobilization protests in Moscow

Hundreds of people were arrested in Moscow and around Russia on September 21 during demonstrations against the mobilization of reserve forces announced by President Vladimir Putin. This footage recorded by SOTA shows a massive police presence during his one protest on Arbat Street in the city centre. Several violent confrontations between police and protesters are shown. Five of his protesters were arrested during Wednesday’s action, according to figures from Moscow’s Arbat district released by OVD-Info. According to OVD-Info, at least 536 people were arrested during various protests in Moscow.
