IBAC prosecutes four people for crimes, including fraudulent plots and illegal acts in public office

An independent anti-corruption organization in Victoria has charged four people with crimes, including public office fraud, fraud, and fraudulent plots.

The accusation follows Operation Melika, an IBAC investigation into allegations of serious corruption involving providers of accrual services and contracts issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Victorian State School Construction Authority.

An independent and extensive anti-corruption committee has charged four individuals: one former DET employee, one former VSBA employee, and two individuals associated with the provider.

The indicted will be summoned to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 16 November.
