Tate was banned from Twitter in 2017.

While Tait’s social media accounts claim to be something of a lifestyle guru for young men, he’s also known for threatening women with machetes when he accuses them of cheating. He has drawn attention and been criticized for his repeated misogynistic remarks.

In other posts, he states that women are “property.”

Tate has been active on social media for several years, but his popularity has skyrocketed in recent years.

Before his account was deleted, he had 4.7 million Instagram followers, up from about 1 million in June.

Tate has likewise been banned from TikTok, but his fans continue to share his material on TikTok, raising concerns about his influence on teenage boys and young men.

However, British tabloids mirror released a statement from Tate claiming that old videos of him playing “comical characters” were taken out of context.
