Jimmy and Nadia Bartel have bagged their “elite” St. Kirda West House buyers.

The well-known former couple earned $ 3.91 million in an impressive five-bedroom home for private sale, within the $ 3.7 million to $ 4 million price guide set in July.

Geelong’s Triple Premiership player and fashion influencer and ambassador listed the landmarks built in 1904 (also linked to Nick Cave) almost a year after announcing the split.

44 Mary Street in St. Kirda West has won $ 3.91 million.

The residence retains the details of the era, including original wallpapers and lead-light windows.

Sold as “one of the most elite properties in St. Kirda West,” it combines “the elegance and grandeur of the times with stunning contemporary style and family comfort.”

In September 2017, Bartels paid $ 3.76 million for real estate on 44 Mary Street, according to CoreLogic records.

Other details of the latest sale of the house remain a mystery, and Marshall White Port Phillip distributor Ben Manoritzas declined to comment when contacted by Herald Sun.

Pads went on the market about a week before physical home inspections were banned due to COVID-19, which stagnated trading until it returned in late September.

Earlier this month, Nadia told Herald Sun that she was relieved that the sale was put on hold due to real estate restrictions in Melbourne.

“It was hard because it went on the market right after COVID-19 started, so it was a little hard because I can’t see my house now,” she said.

“So obviously no one was looking inside the house for a very long time.”

Nadia, whose clothing brand Henne has been an Instagram hit since its launch last year, added that she wanted to find another home for herself and her sons Aston and Henry in the St. Kirda West area.

“My parents live in Middle Park and my sister is in the immediate vicinity. I love the area,” she said.

And in an interview with Herald Sun in 2018, Nadia said she loves the “traditional Victorian atmosphere” of the house.

“There are many beautiful details that characterize the house, such as wooden windows, detailed wooden fireplaces, intricate lead-light windows, bay windows, and decorative plasterer high ceilings,” she said at the time.

The landmark was built in 1904 and expanded in the 1920s.

The historic home was a boarding house in the 1970s and reportedly hosted musical talents such as Nick Cave and his band Badseed in the early 80s.

Prior to this, it was expanded to a two-story building in the 1920s and designed by the renowned architect HV Gillespie. He worked especially at The George Hotel in St Kilda.

The property’s latest list of realestate.com.au highlights the features of the preserved era, including Baltic pine floors, pressed metal ceilings, leadlight windows, and original wallpapers.

Other outstanding inclusions were the “impressive reception hall”, formal dining and living room, wine cellar, “kids zone”, main bedroom with fireplace, walk-in closet and ensuite.

The house has 5 bedrooms.

Jimmy retired from his 305-game AFL career decorated in 2016, placing three flags, Brownlow and Nomesmith medals, and two All-Australian jackets under his belt. He is currently working in the football media.

Bartels also earned $ 2.25 million in 2016 in a modern home built in Geelong.
