Jordan Finlayson: Beauty and Geek Star Turns Drug Seller to Rock on Appeal Day

Former beauty and nerd runner-up drug dealer Jordan Finlayson is preparing to appeal his sentence and is aiming for an early release date from prison.

29-year-old Finlayson was sentenced to at least two years and three months in prison in April after being involved in a heroin trading ring with his boyfriend Martin Rosell.

The former Kronura shark cheerleader was arrested in Rosa’s Sydney apartment in June 2019 after selling tens of thousands of dollars in medicine to cover up police officers.

She later pleaded guilty to court for the continued supply of heroin and ice in 2019 and the commercial supply of GBL.

The Supreme Court heard on Thursday that she would appeal for imprisonment, but would wait for the next five months in custody before the March 8 hearing day.

This year, Finlayson admitted that she was “stiff” and “sick” of her life being involved in heavy substance use and trafficking, said District Court Philippe Mahony SC. The judge said in her judgment.

The former model will be released on parole next September.

Judge Maloney set a parole date in September 2021 and handed her a prison of up to four years and three months.

Previous lingerie models once posed for penthouses and had over 40,000 Instagram followers.

But by the time she was arrested, she was spending $ 5,000 a week on drugs, claiming in court that the prison probably saved her life.

“It’s shameful, I hope it never happened … people can die with it,” Finlayson told the doctor.

She said she wanted to return to the model when she was released from prison, but above all she wanted her parents to be “proud of her daughter” again.
