Lake Charles residents go home to find devastation from the Hurricane Delta

Residents of Lake Charles returned home on October 11 after the Hurricane Delta struck Louisiana over the weekend and found extensive property damage. According to the National Hurricane Center, Delta landed near Creole on Friday as a Category 2 hurricane. Many residents along the Delta’s path were reportedly still recovering from Hurricane Laura, which struck the state about six weeks ago. Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards confirmed the first Delta-related death on Sunday. The 86-year-old man died trying to refuel the generator while it was still hot, causing a fire, KSLA reported. According to Instagram user @ jeanie3legs who uploaded the video, this video shows the property damage of Lake Charles. “Delta left a mark. Wharf, several venues [our] My favorite photo shoots are now everywhere in the garden. It’s confusing, but it can be fixed. Keep praying for those who have lost everything in our area, “they said in an Instagram post. Credits: @ jeanie3legs via Storyful
