Harlem’s Dance Theater performed in August in honor of the neighborhood for its annual weekly celebration. At the virtual celebration of Harlem Week (August 16-23), dancers wore face masks, flew around the neighborhood, and danced at City University of New York, Subway 145 and St. Nicholas Station, Riverbank State Park, and Adam. .. Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building. “Dancing Through Harlem” was produced and performed by Derek Brockington and Alexandra Hutchinson with six other dancers. According to the theater, the dancers are performing excerpts choreographed by Robert Garland.
