A new study released by Zoom found that more than half (55%) of Australian companies are not properly configured for communication in the post-COVID world.

Zoom’s Connectivity Report surveys more than 1,000 Australian office workers, explores factors such as engagement, empowerment, and efficiency, quantifies workplace connections, and delves into the drivers and benefits of connectivity.

Business decision makers reported that they were more connected than their junior employees. In fact, 60% of business decision makers had connectivity scores in the top half of the index, compared to just 40% of junior staff.

Perhaps surprisingly, working from home was found to improve connectivity, with those who split the time between remote and office work reported the best results.

People in the bottom 25% of the connectivity index are less likely to report that they are involved with an organization or colleague (23%) and are happy with their work (27%).
