A Victorian mother and her eight-year-old little son were just a few meters from home when they were killed in a horror smash.
Erin Wilson turned into a driveway away from the South Gippsland Highway in Columbra when her car was struck from behind and pushed into the track on Friday afternoon.
A 33-year-old woman and her little son Bain died in a crash.
“I can’t think of what has happened so far, especially parents burying their children and grandchildren, which is horrifying,” the female twin brother Tristan told Seven News.
The riding instructor had just picked up his son from school before the crash.
On social media, friends paid tribute to the pair.
“They were so beautiful and it was gorgeous to chat. [Ms Wilson] When I caught up with her earlier this year, “my friend Izzy Kay said on Facebook.
Investigation into the crash is ongoing, and a 59-year-old man from Bass was cross-examined and released until further investigation was conducted.
