NRL 2020: Luke Keeley, Roosters Half, Kyle Flanagan, Trent Robinson, Luck Run Lamb, Sam Walker, Blood Fitler

Bruce coach Brad Fittler believes Trent Robinson is facing a dilemma in halfback pairing and may need to switch Luke Keeley to halfback.

The Roosters were unable to split the Keeley and Kyle Flanagan pair in half and fire as the Roosters lost to the Raiders 22-18 and bowed from the finals in a straight set.

The Roosters also featured club legend Adrian Lamb’s son Lachlan and the talented Sam Walker in next season’s book.

Fitler believes the Roosters may need to consider moving Keeley to the main driver’s seat to control the side attack.

“What they do with Luke Keeley is very important, whether he stays on 5/8 or goes halfback,” Fittler said at the Sunday Footy Show.

“Obviously Kyle Flanagan is there, Sam Walker is there, you have Ratchie Lamb. This will be a big decision for Robo in the future.”

“I think there’s still a bit of uncertainty. I know the season is over, but I’m heading for next year. I don’t think it’s sold in half pairs. I don’t.

“The criteria they’ve been playing for the last few years … we’ve always talked about Melbourne raising the bar for play. I think the Roosters really added to that.”
