Numbers shed big light on West Coast Eagles season from hell

West Coast Year of Hell is reflected in the latest champion stats numbers.

Since Champion Data began keeping track of AFL stats in 1999, the Eagles have never averaged less than a mere 65.9 scores per game.

Compare that to an average score of over 100, and it’s amazing how the two-win Eagles could possibly avoid the wooden spoon.

They gave up scores over 100 13 times, including two monster totals of 161 against the Bulldogs and Melbourne at Optus Stadium.
