Olivia Newton-John’s last photo before death is so touching

Australian music icons died Monday at the age of 73 After a long and sometimes very public battle with breast cancer.

In May 2017, after 25 years in remission, she announced her cancer had returned and confirmed in September 2018 that she was battling cancer for the third time.

In recent years, as her health deteriorated, Newton-John has mostly disappeared from public view, making only a few appearances over the past year.

The last time a fan saw her speak on camera was when she posted a christmas message To her Instagram followers on Christmas Day 2021.

“I would like to take this opportunity mainly to wish you a healthy, happy and peaceful Christmas,” she said. I wish you all the best and send you love and light.”

Her last TV appearance came a few months earlier, in October 2021, when she made a guest appearance on dance with the stars for the show grease– Theme nights. In honor of that night, Sandy herself, Olivia Newton-John.

As the contestants paid tribute to her and John Travolta’s iconic 1978 film, Newton appeared via video message and wished them well.

“I am so excited and honored to have you celebrate. grease tonight! We know the couple are working hard and can’t wait to see them perform! ‘ she said.

Newton-John’s Instagram account has been devoted to posting flashbacks of her career and competitions over the last few years to keep fans engaged with her work.

However, on April 18th of this year, rare candid photo Olivia herself, and perhaps fans will be the last photo of her.

Last October, Newton-John revealed that he was battling stage 4 breast cancer but was managing his pain with medical marijuana.

And on Monday, she died on her ranch in Southern California, surrounded by her loved ones, including her husband John Easterling and daughter Chloe Rattanzi.

Easterling confirmed the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post, describing his late wife as “a symbol of victory and hope”.

“Olivia has been a symbol of victory and hope, sharing her battle with breast cancer for over 30 years,” he wrote.

“Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with botanical medicine continues the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund dedicated to botanical medicine and cancer research. We are asking for donations to the John Foundation Fund to commemorate her.”
