Sky News contributor Daisy Cousens says she can’t help but feel that the royal family is “against reconciliation” more than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“I think this is also what King Charles alluded to in his first address to the nation,” Cousins told Sky News Australia.
“After lavishing praise on Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton and listing their titles, the king briefly mentioned his second son and daughter-in-law, but did not use honorifics.”
Ms Cousens said Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II “no doubt watched quietly the trebuchet and arrows that the prodigal prince and his disgruntled Markle repeatedly hurled at them”.
“If the Queen’s steady leadership doesn’t keep the skies as clear as possible, a great storm could be about to begin.
