Mian said the sale was unconditional and demonstrates high-end buyers’ continued appetite for absolute beachfront property in Mermaid Beach, the Coast’s most expensive suburb.
“Winter is usually quiet, but this week alone we made $24 million in sales,” says Mian.
“I’ve been experiencing great demand for prestige properties and while inventories are still very tight, I can expect more luxury sales to occur off-market.”
He said buyers of the contemporary residence are based locally and plan to make it their permanent home.
Property records show that the block was put up for sale in 2014, before construction of the new homes began.
The listing at the time said the vendor had purchased it elsewhere, but the property was never sold.
According to REA PropTrack data, the median home price in Mermaid Beach has risen 45% in the past 12 months to a whopping $2.85 million.
