Trump departs from Walter Reed Medical Center, Victoria records 15 COVID-19 cases, Australian death toll at 895, federal budget to lead economic recovery

Queensland Prime Minister Anastasia Parasekuk said New South Wales needs to record widespread community transmission before Queensland closes its borders again.

The border will reopen on November 1st. However, New South Wales can go for 28 consecutive days without detecting a mysterious incident.

“I think there must be widespread community transmission,” she said. “If you start seeing what happened first in Victoria, of course you’ll be worried.”

Jeannette Young, Queensland’s Chief Health Officer, takes into account inspection rates, sewage inspections, and local infection rates when determining borders.

As of Tuesday, New South Wales has recorded 11 consecutive days without local transmission.
