Australia Post: Final shipping date for Christmas gifts revealed

Some popular destinations such as China, South Africa and Sri Lanka require packages and letters to be sent by November 14th at the earliest if they are to be delivered by Christmas.

Anyone wishing to send a parcel or letter to the UK should receive it in the mail by 2nd November for regular mail and 21st November for Economy Air.

For parcels sent to the United States, the deadline is November 28th for standard mail and November 21st for economy air.

Parcels and letters sent to New Zealand must be posted by 2nd December for Standard Mail and 25th November for Economy Air.

If you are trying to send a parcel or letter to China, you must receive it in the mail by November 21st for regular mail and by November 14th for economy air.

For those who aren’t quite ready for the holiday season, the latest dates on which gifts can be sent to popular destinations such as the US, UK, New Zealand and Canada, if posted by international express delivery, It’s December 9th.

The Australian Post has yet to announce a final shipping date for interstate mail.

Executive General Manager Gary Starr said customers interested in finding out the final shipping date for a particular country are advised to visit the Australia Post website for more information.
