Drone strikes may indicate Russia has ‘run out’ of long-range weapons
The fact that Russia now relies on Iranian drones may indicate that Russia is “running out” of long-range precision-guided weapons, says a special correspondent for the Australian Financial Review. Member Misha Zelinski said:
Russia recently carried out attacks in the Kyiv, Dnipro and Sumy regions using what it believed to be Iranian-made ‘kamikaze’ drones, killing at least eight people in total.
“Some estimates say it’s down to 30%, but of course we don’t know,” Zelinksy told Sky News Australia.
“30% of Russian artillery is still a lot, but says Russia needs to have more sophisticated and more selective targeting.”
