Jan Laczynski narrowly missed the Bali bombing that killed five of his friends. On the night of the bombing, he left Sari his club to catch a flight. He misread the ticket, it was 11am the next day instead of 11pm. But they had some seats available, so he took the flight. When he landed, he heard that the club he was in had just been hit by a terrorist attack.Over the years, Yang attended each anniversary of the Bali bombings, participated in terrorist trials, and was jailed. In he even met two terrorists. Though he has dedicated his life to keeping the memory of the bombing alive, he struggles with survivor guilt.On his fifth anniversary of the Bali bombing, he met his wife and now has a family.
