France recalls raka, wallaby boutier

France have recalled Fijian-born Clermont winger Alivereti Raka to the autumn international series, which begins testing with Australia.

Montpellier full-back Anthony Boutier was also returned to the 42-man squad, including eight uncapped players.

The 27-year-old Fijian-born Raka was the last of five Test appearances in December 2020 and, like 30-year-old Bouthier, who made his final appearance in July 2021, had a strong start to the season. I am back in the national competition.

Fly-half Romain Ntamak, who has not played for top-14 leaders Toulouse since September due to an ankle injury, was also included in the squad nominated by Fabian Garcy on Monday.

Nutamac will join Toulouse team-mates Antoine Dupont, Matisse Lebel, Pierre-Louis Barasi and Thomas Ramos, while full-back Melvin Jaminette was sidelined with an ankle injury over the weekend.

Forwards Leda Wardi, Thomas Laclayatt, Florian Verhege, Jordan Joseph, Leo Verdu, Ethan Dumortier, Romain Broth and Pablo Huberti are all in the hunt for their first caps.

France will face the Wallabies in Paris on November 5th, South Africa in Marseille on November 12th, and Japan in Toulouse six days later.
