Giddy’s Thunderrock in the third season

The Oklahoma City Thunder have exercised a third-year NBA contract option on Australian star Josh Guiddy.

Giddy, 20, was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team last season despite missing the last 22 games with a hip injury.

After being the sixth pick in the 2021 draft, he averaged 12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 54 games last season.

At the age of 19 years and 84 days, he became the youngest player to record a triple-double against the Dallas Mavericks on January 2.

The Thunder also exercised a third-year option on fellow guard Tre Mann and a fourth-year option on forward Alexei Poksevski.

The 21-year-old Mann had 10.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 60 games last season.

Poksevski, 20, had 7.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in 61 games last season in his second season with the Thunder.
