Putin says mobilization will end in about two weeks

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the partial mobilization of military reserves will end in two weeks.

Mr Putin said what was happening in the Ukraine conflict was “unpleasant” but necessary.

“I want to make it clear that what’s happening today is unpleasant…but a little while later the same thing would have happened. It just made things worse.”

Analysts believe the Russian military is running out of advanced weapons and trained personnel.

“This mobilization is already coming to an end, and now 222,000 mobilized personnel have been integrated into the forces,” Putin said.

“We believe that within two weeks, approximately two weeks, all mobilization activities will be completed.”
