Uihlein leads Jeddah’s LIV Golf by a stroke

USA’s Peter Urain takes a one-shot lead heading into the final day of the LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah after posting a 7-under 63 in the second round.

The American made a double bogey on Saturday with seven birdies and an eagle on the 13th hole at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City.

Uihlein took over from former leader Brooks Koepka, who went 3-under 67, with Sergio Garcia (64) and Charl Schwartzel (67) in second, three shots behind.

Jed Morgan’s 68 batting average led the tournament at 5-under par and tied for 15th, while British Open champion Cameron Smith tied for 27th with 3 RBIs followed by 69 RBIs.

This is the seventh and final LIV Golf Invitational for individual and team play.

The final event of the first season of the Saudi Arabia-backed series will take place in Miami in two weeks for the four-man squad.
